Protest Against Crime in Villa Gesell

In Villa Gesell, the neighbors of the neighborhood "115 and 15", also known as "El Pasillo", have taken extreme measures due to the increasing insecurity in the area. They decided to close one of the accesses to the sector in order to curb the criminal activity affecting them.

The residents argue that the hallway has become the main escape point used by criminals, and feeling that both the municipality and Mayor Gustavo Barrera have not taken effective measures regarding this, they decided to act on their own. They organized a collection to buy posts and fencing with which they blocked the street, in an effort to protect their community.

A neighbor who participated in the closure expressed: "115 and 15 has never been like this. We will be seen as the bad ones by many, but the only thing we care about is safety." Another resident added: "We did it for our children and grandchildren, for the children of our neighbors. Enough, children deserve to live well."

In response to this situation, a march was called to express discontent and concern about insecurity in the neighborhood. Among the organizers of the protest is the former Secretary of Health of the Villa Gesell municipality, Dr. Jorge Corti, who was recently a victim of a violent robbery in his home.

The purpose of the march is to highlight the problem and demand concrete responses from the local authorities. The neighbors seek effective measures to ensure the safety of the community and protect future generations. The mobilization is presented as a call to attention to the authorities to take action and provide concrete solutions to the issue of insecurity in the area.
